Snow at the Yacht Club

It is my hope that the holidays have been wonderful for all of you and that you are still experiencing the joy that is a part of good times, food and fun spent with family and friends.

Disney's Yacht Club at Walt Disney World is celebrating with a blanket of snow. Well, actually the snow is actually "faux" and is covering the wonderful miniature village displayed in the lobby of this beautiful resort.

It has been my experience that when Disney does anything, Disney does it in a big way, even miniature village scenes. The village, with all its delightful little homes, churches, shops, people doing chores and shopping, children building snowmen, hidden Mickeys and a toy train making its rounds throughout, is a magical winter wonderland. Each snow covered scene transports the visitor into the fantasy taking place within.

The display is located to the right of the front entrance and covers a large portion of that section of the lobby. It is made up of many different scenes. It is truly wonderful. Please feel free to use your imagination, allowing the following photographs to speak for themselves to give you some idea of just how exquisite and mesmerizing each setting is.

Nicole, it is truly awesome and children do love it. You know me and I am such a kid at heart, so I do adore all these delightful things. There was so much more that I wanted to post about, but I simply could not find enough time before Christmas. Thanks so much for being such a precious friend. My little blog turned one year old this month and you have been so sweet and supportive of my meager efforts. Thanks for being there, uplifting and encouraging me and for your prayers for our family as we go through some challenging times. You are an awesome person and I am so glad that I have gotten to know you through our blogs. My prayer is that the new year will bring boundless blessings to you and your sweet family.

It is a delightful village and staged in such a beautiful setting at the resort. You probably know that there is always something good going on at the Boardwalk and all the resorts around the lake. Thanks so much for dropping by today and leaving a comment!

An image of the Eiffel Tower in any form sets my imagination into high gear. Chocolate Cream Meringue Pie Like Mama Used to Make

I am updating this post today 3/25/2013 about the pie my mother-in-law used to make  to link up to   Jessica at  http://www.ahumblecreation.com/  for her "A New Creation" Link Party. My husband, Glenn, celebrated a birthday last week. He received a very special surprise from his sweet sister, Sharon, who brought by an absolutely gorgeous and delicious Chocolate Meringue Pie.  The story behind this pie goes back some forty or fifty years to the days when their mother was still living and Glenn was a young teenager.
